First, have students translate from Spanish to English, then have them translate from English to Spanish after they have better understanding and have had sufficient practice with the imperfect.
Students practice a variety of verbs while first completing a fill in the blank paragraph about childhood with imperfect verb conjugations and then translating the paragraph from Spanish to English. The paragraph includes sentences about siblings, school, activities in different seasons such as skating and skiing in winter and swimming and fishing in the summer. Sample verbs include: acampar, nadar, comer, beber, esquiar, llover, hornear, tocar, caminar, pescar, patinar, jugar, ir, ser, ver, and many more.
