Movie titles are a great warm up activity for your Spanish class! Each set has 10 movie titles translated into Spanish that use the target verb tense, grammar skill, or vocabulary set. These short phrases become a comprehensible input reading activity that students can do alone or, better yet, in small groups.
Some movies are recent and popular, and some are oldies. Some are action films, others are horror. Some are independent films and some are made-for-TV movies… so if students recognize one or two, that’s great! But they should not be surprised if they are unfamiliar. And if they don’t know the movies, that’s even better for you – because that means students will actually have to work with each other - and maybe a dictionary - to piece together the meaning rather than simply recognizing the name of a famous movie.
This activity reviews Spanish indirect object pronouns.
