For the imperfect, a stage curtain is given to represent setting the scene. For the preterite, a clapper board is given to represent the "action." Under each of the uses flaps, students can write example sentences. These sentences can tell a story where they set a scene with the preterite and then tell what happened.
Flaps for the keywords are also provided. Students would use their notes, book, etc. to write the keywords for each the preterite and imperfect.
A stoplight with "Preterite" for red, "Imperfect" for green, and verbs with meaning changes for yellow is also included. Students write the meanings on each side of the stoplight.
