I use these for my students when they are going to be speaking and listening for an extended amount of time. Creative therapeutic techniques such as the creation of mandalas (circle drawings) can facilitate the development of an emotional outlet. I hang stretchy book covers on the backs of the chairs with markers and crayons in them, so the students have easy accessibility to supplies to color the mandalas. They can also jot information around the mandala. They usually come out nice and I hang them on the wall as examples of calming student work. There are about 50 different designs, so it's easy to quickly print out, rather than searching the internet and print one at a time.
