Product Description
Great for Dual Language Classrooms!

Spanglish is a great way to get new Spanish speaking students to use their new vocabulary and boost their confidence!

This mad lib type resource can be used for students from 2nd grade to adult!

Everyone loves these!

Just print & go!

Using mad lib type activities is not only fun but helps students with grammar and spelling. This unit includes word bank/vocabulary cards that include: masculine/feminine, singular/plural nouns, adjectives as well as expressions of courtesy, greetings, commands, measures of time, temperature, food, drinks, animals, places, question words, family, colors, numbers, and emotions in Spanish.

You can use this set for a whole classroom activity, group activity, partner activity, or send it home as homework to do with family members or friends!

This resource includes four short stories with word bank vocabulary sheets (each set is picture coded and includes 8 word bank/vocabulary cards):

On The Bus (maracas)
My Best Friend (caballero)
The First Day of Class (guitarra)
Vacation Time (sombrero)

The word banks for each story have vocabulary words that students can choose from to complete their mad lib activity. Print one word bank set for a group or one for each student. You can also laminate the word banks for future use! Have each group work on a different set if you would like. Have students fill in the answer for each blank space using only Spanish words. Ask a friend for the answers to double the fun. Tell them NOT to read the story until they are done filling in all the blanks! Then read your funny “Spanglish” story out loud with an accent! Use the word banks or Spanish/English dictionary if you need help. Increase the difficulty by using only Spanish words students don’t know.

Enjoy!

I hope your students enjoy them as much as we did!
