Print and use these maps for students to take notes with. I slap one on the overhead and label the Spanish countries and capitals while the students take notes. I've even come up with corny ways to remember a few of them, which helps the students before a big map-labeling exam.
For example, Bogota, Colombia is introduced like: "Your uncle Bo is a pilot. He often flies to Colombia (where they grow and export world-famous coffee). It seems though, that you're OUT of coffee!! You call your uncle Bo and ask him, 'Bo? Go ta Colombia and bring me some coffee, por favor?'"
The kids think this is goofy, but they remember it on a test.
This download just includes the maps, not my jokes. That's for you to think up...
