Description
Help your students learn the Spanish nationalities by using nationality partners throughout the year.
Students tape the mini flag sheets in their notebooks. Then they find and write down a different student's name next to each flag.
Whenever you have a partner activity in class, call out, “Parejas mexicanas” or “Parejas guatemaltecas”. They team up with the appropriate partner for that country. You can also ask the class which partners they should have today and they can shout out the nationalities.
Every 5-6 weeks, give a new set of flags and have them find new partners. By repeating the nationalities and learning them 4 at a time, your students will be sure to know them all by the end of the year.
For younger students, I included pages with the countries so they can focus on learning the country names.
Incorporate these as part of Hispanic Heritage Month.
