numbers, project, hands, Spanish
For this project, I have the children paint both hand prints onto a piece of construction paper. When the hands dry, I cut two horizontal slits in each hand print (making sure the slits make and opening that fits the size of each strip) and show the students how to slip a numerical strip in one hand and a dot strip in the other hand. They can now slide the strips and match the numbers and dots. They can also count how many fingers on their painted hands that number would represent.
