SPANISH NUMBER PARTNER ACTIVITY THAT INCORPORATES USEFUL LIFE SKILL!
This activity was designed for students to practice asking the price of something as well as numbers over 100 in Spanish, while practicing a useful skill: writing a check. Speaking, listening, and writing are all targeted in this communication-dense activity. Included are 2 partner sheets with instructions, a model, and the listed expenses, as well as 6 blank checks per partner.
Students are paired off and each receive a set of blank checks and a list of their partner's expenses. Student A reads the memo line of his/her check and ask Student B how much that item costs (i.e. electricidad). Student B responds orally and the Student A must write the price they hear. Student A gathers the rest of the information for the check by asking who they need to pay. Clarification of spelling can reinforce the alphabet. Students switch roles and complete 6 checks each.
