This is a student-centered, culturally contextualized lesson for places in the city and the o to ue stem changing verb "poder" which serves as a great introduciton to other present tense stem changer verbs. I have included notes in some slides, but you can edit and change things as you wish. There is listening, speaking, authentic reading, and writing practice in this lesson. There is an opening activity with a really cute video from MisCositasTV. There is a fun activity with places that end in -eria that will give you a chance to talk about culturally relevant differences in cities. One image in the authentic reading activity does include a mention of mezcal but you could switch out the image for something else if you don't believe it's cultural relevancy is defendable. This lesson plan has virtually NO lecture and is basically students learning as they go through the examples and activities. Less talking for you and more learning for them!
