An information gap activity is an activity where students are missing the information they need to complete a task, and need to communicate with each other to get the information. Info gap activities are great tools for a student-centered classroom where students must talk to each other to complete their tasks.
*Student will enjoy this activity and increase proficiency!*
Prior to activity: have students clear their desks and distribute privacy folders. Place students in pairs, Estudiante A, Estudiante B.
Explain the activity: They have 2 different papers missing information. Their partner has their answers, and in order to complete the task, they must talk to each other (in Spanish).
*Model for the class with a student volunteer*
Remind students that they are not allowed to show each other their papers until they have both finished filling in the missing information (gaps).
Duration: 10-15 minutes
*Designed for novice students in 4-5*
