Spanish Por vs. Para Trashketball Game

Get your students excited to review the differences between Por and Para! Trashketball is a competitive game that motivates students to answer questions correctly in order to shoot baskets and score points!

There are 8 rounds (40 questions total):

Round 1-2: tell which word is used in given situations (10 items)

Round 3-4: identify the correct word for the meanings given (10 items)

Round 5-6: give the reason Por or Para is used (10 items)

Round 7-8: fill in the blanks with Por or Para (10 items)

Play all 8 rounds or pick and choose what you want to focus on!

There are also EDITABLE slides that you may use to ADD ROUNDS to the game!

The powerpoint includes:

1. teacher information
2. game set up instructions
3. rules for students
4. eight rounds (each on their own slide)
5. an answer key
6. a score sheet
7. 4 blank editable slides to add more rounds if you wish.

Other items needed:

1. a large bucket or trash can
2. a small, soft ball
3. tape to mark lines to shoot from.

NOTE: This is a PowerPoint presentation, and you will need to be able to project the slides containing the rounds for the students to see.
