Help your students remember Spanish prepositional phrases with this fun chant that includes hand motions! It might sound cheesy, but students get really into it, and they remember the phrases for years to come!
First, go to Youtube.com and search for "Spanish preposition rhyme." A whole slew of rhymes will pop up. Go through a few, to get a feel for how the chant goes. They all start out the same, but then they all have slightly different endings. My version lines up well with the Realidades 2B chapter for Spanish 1, meaning it includes vocab such as "debajo," "encima," "delante" and "detras.
Second, print the student sheet, and practice the hand motions yourself before teaching it to students.
Finally, slowly go through the hand motions and chant (maybe teaching one half one day, and the other half the second day), and have students write down the chant on this hand-out.
This product includes one student sheet, one detailed sheet of how to do the chant and hand motions (for the teacher), and one final sheet of ideas for how to use this chant in a competition, a project, a quiz, or an extra credit opportunity.
