Product Description
Do you still find yourself singing the alphabet song when looking something up in a dictionary? What about using a song or rhyme to remember which months have 30 or 31 days? We all have learned this way! And what’s more... we still remember it as adults! That’s because it works! Now you can teach Spanish this way too! This song is a quick and easy way to teach the basic prepositions taught in Spanish 1. The song is sung to the tune of 'Row, Row, Row Your Boat' and both the Spanish lyrics and the lyrics to 'Row, Row, Row Your Boat' are lined up so that students can follow along with the beat as it is learned. There are 9 pages total! Here's everything that is included:

1 page of the song (Spanish) with pictures
1 page of the song with pictures only (students fill in the Spanish!)
1 page of the song (Spanish) with pictures of hand motions
1 page of the song with pictures of hand motions only (students fill in the Spanish!)
1 page of the song (Spanish) AND the lyrics to Row, Row, Row Your Boat'
1 page of all of the song vocabulary with pictures and words (perfect as a study guide)
1 page of all of the song vocabulary with pictures without the words (perfect as a quiz)
1 page of all of the song vocabulary with pictures of the hand motions and words (perfect as a study guide)
1 page of all of the song vocabulary with pictures of the hand motions without the words (perfect as a quiz)

There are 2 different versions.... one with pictures and one with pictures of hand motions! I always taught the song using the hand motions, and I can tell you that the movement of the hands together with the Spanish is a GREAT way for your students to remember the prepositions! How do I know? Years of watching my own students do hand motions to themselves while they were taking a test!! Don't forget, it's also a lot more fun AND challenging if you increase the speed of the song each time you sing it! I used this song for years with my high school students and it was ALWAYS one of their favorites!!! YB Smith
