Product Description
If you like the idea of escape rooms or break out boxes, this escape challenge is for you! This print-and-go challenge day lets students work in groups to unlock seven puzzle locks to rescue their friend that is trapped in a military bunker.

Lock 1: Students conjugate indicative and subjunctive verbs in a letter from their trapped friend to solve a 3-digit padlock code.

Lock 2: Students answer multiple choice questions about present subjunctive conjugation to solve a 5-digit padlock code.

Lock 3: Students conjugate present subjunctive verbs to solve a 5-letter padlock code.

Lock 4: Students look for missing subjunctive elements to color in a stenography image.

Lock 5: Students translate present subjunctive phrases to find a password code.

Lock 6: Students answer indicative vs subjunctive questions to fill in a QR code.

Lock 7: Students complete a subjunctive conjugation puzzle to by-pass the retinal scanner.

This file includes everything you need in editable and PDF versions - 7 lock puzzles, answer keys, a cover sheet, instructions for the teacher, and an optional expert level that incorporates invisible ink and black lights if you really want to go all in. But you could make copies before first hour and run this all day - no need to purchase actual padlocks or boxes or anything!

Pro Tip: If you like the Spanish 3 or Spanish 4 escape challenges, but find that one of the topics doesn't work for your class, you could purchase this set to have 7 challenges to swap in.

This is also included in the Escape Challenge Bundle and the Present Subjunctive Bundle

These activities primarily focus on the ACTFL language comparison, interpretive communication, and interpersonal communication standards.

Going paperless? You can use the PDF versions in the Notability app for students to add their writing or upload the editable version into Google docs to access on a Chromebook.
