Game, review, assessment, competition....you decide! This animated, editable PowerPoint Game, Veinticinco Preguntas, is a great way to help students master the present tense. Its editable feature allows you to alter the text to assure the vocabulary aligns with your curriculum. Leaning to conjugate can be a confusing topic for students. This game gives students the opportunity to complete full sentences with the correct form of the verb in a fun, game format. Each number will disappear after completion if you click on the “home icon” in the lower left corner. As the numbers disappear, a photo of Machu Picchu will slowly be revealed. A great way to interest students in learning a little about this amazing estate, and the Inca civilization and culture. Although the product is editable, you must careful when making changes, so you do not disrupt the animation and triggers. Use it with the Answer Response Sheet, to practice writing or give answers orally to practice speaking skills. It can be used to assess individual students’ understanding, oral skills, and ability to accurately use the correct present tense form of the verb. The interactive nature of the PowerPoint makes it suitable for a variety of activities. It can be used as a team competition, individually to improve the skill, or a review activity. It uses embedded animation to engage students, provide immediate feedback, keep track of progress and, and allow for keeping score.
In this product:
Have students pick a number. Click on that star to reveal the infinitive. (If you prefer, you may click on the slide and proceed through the questions in numerical order.) Then click again to see the subject. After students have had time to answer orally or in writing, click to reveal the correct form of the verb and then its English equivalent. Have students discuss where it falls on conjugation chart: singular/plural; 1st, 2nd, 3rd person. I found it useful to have not only one student give the answer orally but require all students to write out the information. I also like to require students to explain their answers. After you're finished with the slide, click on the home icon in the lower, left corner. The numbered box will disappear, and you are ready for the next question.
