Use this reading to get your students to teach themselves the regular preterite tense endings!
Students will need to be familiar with morning routine vocabulary and reflexive verbs. My Spanish 2 curriculum teaches these in the unit before the preterite tense. I use these freshly familiar concepts to expose students to the preterite tense.
Students follow steps to read and annotate the text (specifically the verbs within the text). They will see patterns develop and quickly be able to fill in a blank chart with the regular preterite endings without a lecture.
