This is a fun way for students to practice or review the Preterite in Spanish. The activity is magic squares. There are 9 or 16 squares in each grid and each contains a conjugated form of the Preterite in Spanish. The first half of the puzzles use the regular preterite and the second half uses the irregular preterite. Below or next to the grid are 9 (or 16) subject/infinitive verb pairs. The student writes the number of the subject/verb with the correct verb form in the grid. If done correctly, each row, column, and diagonal add up to 15 (9 square) or 34 (16 square). There are 13 puzzles total on 7 pages. Students can check this when done. Great as a class starter or for a substitute.
This document combines two products (regular and irregular preterte) at a reduced price.
