This resource serves as a culminating speaking activity after students have learned all of the preterite tense; regular and irregular verbs, -ir stem-changing verbs; and an introduction of the imperfect of high-frequency verbs such as, “había (included).” Students do a presentation in pairs, describing the drawings and talking about what happened using el pretérito. Spanish Two students do not need to have formally learned the imperfect. Spanish Three students need to use both the preterite and the imperfect tenses. Students may also present individually.
