Students play the card game War / Guerra in pairs. The student who puts down the highest number can not seize his or her opponent's card until he or she correctly answers the corresponding preterite verb question (asked by the opponent). So if Person A and B are playing, and Person A shows a 6 of diamonds and Person B shows a Queen of hearts, Person B would need to answer the Queen of Hearts conjugation question read by his or her opponent. If person B correctly conjugates the verb, he or she wins the cards! If he or she does not correctly conjugate the verb, the opponent steals the cards!
