PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Let students see preterite and imperfect verbs in a context they hear often... movie synopses! This activity has 4 movie synopses - 1 for Pitch Perfect, 1 for Ferris Bueller's Day Off, 1 for Remember the Titans, and 1 for Frozen. If a student hasn't seen any or all of the movies, that's totally ok!

The synopses each have 15 past tense verbs. The students get a 1/2 sheet for each one where they mark whether the verbs were preterite or imperfect and the reason for each one.

You could project each synopsis and use it as a warm up activity 4 days in a row. Or you could post them around the room and make it a stations activity - there are lots of options!

Answer key included. :)
