Need a project that helps your students visualize the difference between the uses of the Preterite and the Imperfect? This poster project does just that by having students compose sentences in the Imperfect that tell of things they used to do, as well as sentences in the Preterite for specific one-time events from their childhood. Seeing the sentences side-by-side and illustrated really helps bring the point home.
This packet includes: a detailed rubric for the project, as well as a score sheet for your convenience to grade the project.
My students have fun looking through our vocabulary to find and use words that depict their own lives, and the posters look great hung up around the room, too!
