I use this as a Spanish pronunciation practice activity for my AP students, but it can really be used at any level. I have included both words that I commonly hear mispronounced and words that they haven’t seen before and have to negotiate.
How you format the activity is up to you. Since I have smaller classes, we make a competition out of it and take turns going around the room and saying one word at a time. If they pronounce it correctly, they get a point. My students are always very competitive to be “El Rey/La Reina de Pronunciación.”
This activity is designed for a 40 minute class period and includes over 200 slides. It can easily also be broken up for bell-ringer or class closing activities.
