This worksheet is a time filler, but it is thematically related to your unit. All of these puzzle sheets have a word bank that correlates to the unit you are on right now. If your system cannot get subs that speak Spanish, these are good vocabulary practice for while you are gone. Please see the other sheets that are very similar, but have a different word bank for your unit/theme.

Puzzle sheet for Spanish I.
Crossword puzzle, word search, word scramble. Those are easy enough.
The substitution code uses a number for each letter. If you notice the accented letter A is for the word lápiz, so the letter L is 15, 7=P and so on.
The Fallen letters puzzle has letter that go straight up. The A on the far right can only go straight up into its box and there is only one choice. In the next column, you have to figure out where the A, R, and R go based on the spelling of the vocabulary words in the key.
The key with the answers to all the puzzle is at the top right.
I started making these when I taught Spanish in middle school and Spanish One was a two year endeavor, making it twice the time as a regular class. I use them for puzzle day once in a while, but mostly for sub days.
