This is a 3-page activity that features a young lady who has joined an online dating site in search of "Mr. Right." The activity opens with "Marisol" describing herself and what she WILL DO in the next year. This is in Spanish. Then, there are three blog entries of potential suitors describing what they WILL DO in the next year or so (in Spanish). After the blog entries, there is a set of true/false questions and there is an answer key for these. Students then choose who they think is best for Marisol. Then there is a question to answer in English to check comprehension. Finally, there is a chance for students to decide what Marisol and her new date will do on their first date. They are supposed to use the future tense in Spanish. The directions for each section are in English due to research that indicates instructions shouldn't be in Spanish because they are not considered "functional Spanish." If you'd like to change that, you can. I sell similar "dating" activities like these on my site. *Please make sure you know your students and that you explain what is appropriate and inappropriate when they write about Marisol's date ;) Enjoy!
