There are five short stories in Spanish. They are about El Cinco de Mayo
(5th of May), El gran festival
(The great festival), Celebración en familia
(Family Celebration), La piñata
(The piñata), and Los ancestros
There are simple comprehension questions and other activities to check understanding of each reading passage.
The first reading passage is written in the Past Tense
(the history of why this date is celebrated in Mexico) which makes this resource more appropriate for Spanish 2 level students. The other reading passages are in the Present Tense.
The reading passages, all questions and instructions are 100% in Spanish making it ideal for language immersion classrooms. Answers sheets have been included.
