This activity aligns with, but is not limited to, Realidades 1 Temas 7A and 7B. I usually have the students do this as a culminating activity or as an assessment at the end of 7B. Students need to use PREFERIR, QUERER, PENSAR, direct object pronouns and demonstrative adjectives.
Students design outfits for a client and then pitch their proposal to their perspective client. It is usually an oral presentation, but you can also make it a written assignment. For a true PBL experience, I have had students figure out the cost and present it to a Spanish-Speaking professional in the retail clothing industry.
I break it up into several steps: Introduction of vocabulary, practice, Part #1 and then Part #2.
1. The project divided into two parts + RUBRIC
2. Supplemental Vocabulary list and answer key
3. Supplemental Vocabulary practice worksheet and answer key
**All of these documents may be edited to meet your needs if you modify the project!**
Even the boys get into this; they like picking out outfits for their favorite singer or athlete.
Enjoy, and check out my other Realidades 1 materials.
