What Can You Use These For In Your Class:
1. Use them to quickly group students for a pair activity. This way they are not with the same partner. This also reinforces reading skills along with the vocabulary. Students will need to speak their phrase to other students, so it is another opportunity for them to practice their Spanish skills!
You can use this as a class activity in which you first hand students a card and they find their partner. Also give students a list of the question words. After each round, students will need to exchange their card with that of another student, without knowing what they have (it’s best if you tell them to switch to the left or right to keep them on track). Give students one minute to find their pair. Once they have found their correct pair, they may mark off the question phrase on their paper (if they are a part of the ¿Cuánto tiempo hace que juegas al fútbol? Group, then they mark off that question on their paper).
2. The object is to get all of the question phrases marked off on their paper. Using the strips this way will take about 15 minutes. You can also use your last groups of two as partners for the next activity. Or, you can put all of the question words and all of the answers in two big groups for a class game.
