This game focuses on primarily negative tú commands, but also has some positive tú commands and the vocabulary corresponds to Realidades 2 7-A/7-B (food and recipes).
In this game students must read their phrase correctly, conjugate the verb correctly (positive or negative tú command) and listen for other students answers so they know what to say and when to say it. I use this to review grammar structures and reinforce chapter vocabulary. This game also reinforces speaking and listening skills as students must actively listen the entire time to stay on track.
This game includes the following verbs (may be reinforced negatively or positively):
mezclar, separar, usar, poner, comer, ser, probar, seguir, beber, añadir, hervir, picar and freír.
You can separate more advanced students into groups of 2 and have them each play two cards. You can pair up students who need more assistance with another student and have those two students play on one card. This game usually takes middle school students 15 minutes and high school students 10 minutes.
This game includes instructions as well as helpful hints. Each game packet contains four cards, so print enough for all of your students. I print each set on a different color of paper for easy tracking. This game is a great way to reinforce chapter vocabulary, correct verb conjugations, speaking and listening skills.
