Description
Spanish Regular AR Verbs Sentence Formation Practice Activity
This is great activity to help students build sentences in Spanish in a very visual and tactile way. Students can work independently or in pairs.
Students first cut out the individual words, which are color-coded to help with word functions (can also be done in black and white).
Students then assemble sentences and then write each sentence.
The teacher may want to look at the assembled sentences before students write them and correct any mistakes. This is a great way to help with individual student problem areas (verb forms, word order, negation) in a very concrete way since the papers can be swapped out along with a concrete explanation.
Students should be encouraged to be creative and use the additional sentence elements like negative words, questions and punctuation. Once completed, students can read their sentences to a partner who can construct the sentences. There are two activities included with the verb forms and sentence endings changed so that the activity can be done a second time to continue practicing.
