Get students speaking with four different scripted skits, scripted conversations, role plays, or guided dialogs for meeting and introducing new people in Spanish. Topics include meeting new students, students meeting a bus driver, boy meets girl scenario, and student meets new teacher.
Vocabulary structures include:
• Greetings, farewells
• Find out other people’s names and give your name
• Find out where other people are from and say where you’re from
• Talk about likes/dislikes
• Describe others and yourself
The four skits are differentiated for 3 different levels: four beginner scenarios, four medium scenarios, and four challenging scenarios of scenes that students act out with a partner. You get both a pdf and editable word version.
This is an excellent partner activity and a very relevant practice basic conversational Spanish. I use these with the “Avancemos 1” text for Unit 1, but it would work for any beginning Spanish class.
