This two sided full sheet guided notes handout includes information on the front on how to conjugate ser and estar and the reasons on each side using the acronyms "El Doctor" for ser (Event Location, Description, Occupation/Ownership, Characteristic, Time, Origin, Relationship) and "Place" for estar (Position, Location, Action ando/iendo, Condition, and Emotion).
It also has a chart on the bottom for words that change meaning depending on which verb you use them with like "rico" meaning rich or tasty or "aburrido" meaning bored or boring.
On the back is guided practice with fill in the blank and translation that requires students to give their reason for using it.
My students are still able to recall the reasons from El Doctor and Place long after being taught them, so it seems to work for me!
