Are you envious of the English literacy teachers and all of their fun spelling or word work worksheets? I have taken eight of my favorites and transformed them so I can use them during center time in my bilingual classroom. All of the activities will work for any word list allowing the center to easily be differentiated for the varying levels of learners in your classroom. This set contains the following worksheets:
*Sopa de letras (Word search)
*Tira y escribe (Roll and write)
*Orden alfabético (ABC order)
*Palabras del arco iris (Rainbow words)
*Palabras con la tableta (Words with the tablet)
*Deletrea y suma (Spell and add)
*Escríbela tres veces (Write it three times)
*Palabras mágicas (Magic words)
There are 21 pages of worksheets, including multiple options for game sheets and recording sheets for some. There are another 8 pages of directions for each game and 1 page explaining the choice of options for games involving the alphabet (“old” Spanish alphabet vs new).
These activities are ideal for first grade. Most of the centers will work well in kindergarten as well (Add and spell and Roll and write might be a little challenging). These worksheets could also be used in the beginning of second grade with all students or throughout the year for struggling learners.
