Masculine and feminine can be a bit tedious for Spanish language learners of all levels. Why not add an extra practice?
This worksheet is great for novice learners just beginning to understand singular masculine and feminine nouns and articles. The activity uses Spanish/English cognates to give students the opportunity to guess the gender of each word. Students use what they know about masculine and feminine nouns to decide which article (el/la or un/una in two separate activities) fits each word. The activity also gets brains working through guessing the meaning of each cognate!
This activity could be used as a review, homework assignment, or in class solo/group activity. You could also use it with upper level students as a fast review of noun gender and singular definite/indefinite articles!
