This packet includes all you need to do a complete lesson on the song "Hoy es domingo," by Diego Torres. This is an excellent song to use for a comprehensible input activity with authentic cultural materials in lower-level Spanish classes, and is particularly well-suited for use in a unit on hobbies, pastimes, and leisure activities. In addition to providing great practice in listening comprehension, the song also offers an excellent opportunity to make comparisons between Latin America and the United States with regards to how each people in each culture choose to spend their free time.

This product includes:

❊ A 3-page teacher guide with suggestions for use
❊ Pre-listening vocabulary and culture questions
❊ A cloze listening activity
❊ Post-listening questions and activities for comprehension and interpretation

This song was an instant favorite for my class last year! I even caught students listening to it on their own months later! An authentic, culturally rich, comprehensible song that students actually want to listen to? This one is a definite win!
