This set of 21 flags represent the countries around the world where Spanish is the primary language. Each page includes two flags of each country. One flag has the country's name in the middle with a kid-friendly font. The other flag has the country's name on the bottom so the whole flag can be seen.
I used these flags as a border in my classroom (I actually handwrote all of the names and it took forever!) My students love this flag border and actually use it to compare flags and find the flag of the country we are learning about. I also use these flags to name my table groups and label all of their materials (i.e. there is a Mexican flag on the math bucket that belongs to Mexico's table, etc).
I also included a poster of the countries where Spanish is spoken that could be turned into another learning focus in your classroom (I excluded Puerto Rico simply because it created uneven spacing and it is technically a territory of the United States). There are endless possibilities on the use of these flags (matching games, using them for student projects, decorating your classroom, writing activities, etc).
Print, cut and laminate! You can organize the border to fit your needs. On the cover page I included a picture of how I set up the border for my "cultural" board in my classroom.
