A simple, fun project about Spanish-Speaking countries and capitals!
Students each select a Spanish-speaking country and create a one-page country profile including the capital, the Spanish term for that nationality, common exports, and other fun facts. Students also draw and label a map and a flag for that country.
I've included templates for all Spanish-speaking countries so you are guaranteed to have all of them represented. I've also included instructions for the teacher, instructions for the students, a grading checklist, and an optional viewing gallery follow-up sheet. Enjoy!
This project could be used as an introduction in Spanish 1 - students would only have a few words in Spanish to write about the nationality, capital, etc. and could write the fun facts in English. Or it could be used in an advanced class where students could write all the fun facts about the country in Spanish. It could make a great substitute plan if you could provide Internet access for students to look up the basic information.
