Help your students stay on task and speaking in the target language!
When the goal is to continue communicating in the target language, hand out these points strips as a visual reminder to try to stay in the TL during the activity!
As you monitor your students’ activity, walk around the classroom to help.
Anytime you hear a student revert to English to communicate, snip off a row of points. At the end of the lesson, gather the slips and evaluate.
You can use the slips as participation points or apply them to a pronunciation grade if you like!
