Students who have an understanding of blending syllables to make words can benefit from this activity.
They will need to read, blend syllables and illustrate each word. I recommend using 2-3 sheets per week so students have the opportunity to work with the vocabulary multiple times throughout the week. I usually introduce the vocabulary, have students write and read each word three times, then they use each word in a sentence for homework or as a center activity. The final activity is to use all the words to write a short story if it applies to them.
