Island Teacher

This packet contains 24 different task card activities for students to practice vocabulary. This also includes an editable template to create 6 additional activities. The cards can be used with any vocabulary unit in any language! While I use it in my Spanish classes, the packet is all in English, so it can be used with vocabulary in any language classroom (French, German, Italian, ESL etc.). I use these cards for differentiation and to provide students with choices while still meeting objectives!

Included in this Packet:

*24 Vocabulary Task Card Activities
*Vocabulary Task Card list on 2 sheets (for teacher use or student handout)
*2 Versions of Student Task Card Log (to record up to 10 tasks)
*Example of a completed Student Task Card Log
*Suggestions for Classroom Use
*Updated to now include an EDITABLE PowerPoint slide containing the card template and cards 25-30 for you to create 6 additional vocabulary activities to add to the 24 activities already included. Please note that you will need PowerPoint to open and edit this file.

Task Examples:
** Input vocabulary words and definitions into a vocabulary app (Flashcards) on your phone or tablet. Practice learning vocabulary using the app.
** Create a collage using magazine photos which represent your vocabulary words.
** Turn your vocabulary list into a creative and colorful picture. Write each word and definition as one long word to form a heart, circle, spiral, or other shape. Use a variety of colors.
** Create a graphic organizer for your vocabulary words which includes the definition, part of speech, and a picture.
** Be the teacher! Record yourself leading a vocabulary lesson with a family member or friend. You say each word and definition and have your friend or family member repeat the word and definition.
