Get your students up and moving while they practice their vocabulary skills with the language of food. This set of 32 task cards requires students to determine the proper Spanish word for 24 different foods. Set 2 focuses more on foods served for dinner.
What you get:
32 Task cards that have students name the foods.
Student Answer Sheet
Teacher Answer Key
58 Slide PowerPoint presentation that shows the cards and the answers for student review and games. You can have students use white boards, or put the class into teams. Show the slides one at a time and have students race to write down or raise their hand to give the answer. The answer is highlighted in red on the following slide. The last two slides ask students which foods they prefer, so answers will vary.
Print out the task cards. Card stock is better but not required. Cards could also be laminated.
Cut the cards up (they print 4 cards to a sheet)
Distribute the cards around the room—1 per desk, or on different tables so that students must travel to get the answers to all the cards.
Give each student an answer sheet and give them instructions. Tell them to read each card, choose the proper answer, and put the answer next to the correct number on their answer sheet. Each task card has a number, so remind them to be careful to match that number on their answer sheet.
After students have finished, show the PowerPoint presentation and have students check their answers.
