This is a partner/small group activity that allows students to get up and walk around the room.
There are 13 pieces of paper, and each paper has a time/picture of someone doing an activity on it. Underneath that, there are 8 subjects with lines after them. (Ustedes __________________) I hang these 13 pictures around the room to begin.
Students will work together to come up with a sentence that describes the picture and at what time it is done. For example, they might write "Las chicas preparan la comida a las dos."
THEN, the students rotate around the room going around to all the different papers. In order to make it more challenging/varied and to avoid writing the same times over and over, students must ADD 10 MINUTES to the paper they get to. For example, if the student before you wrote "Las chicas preparan la comida a las dos." your new time would be "las dos y diez." This is also good cross-curriculum practice with math!
I usually have students grade the papers when we're done to try and recognize errors.
to see what else my store has to offer! Tons of materials!
