Product Description
Students read about the changing borders and tensions between America, Texas, and Spain's North American holdings from 1763-1819. They also analyze maps, answer 12 questions, and complete a territories map. Topics covered touch on the French and Indian War, the shutting down of Spanish missions, the removal of Spanish East Texans to San Antonio, Spain's support of the patriots during the Revolutionary War, the Louisiana Purchase, the Adams-Onis Treaty of 1819, and more!

In my Texas History curriculum this aligns with the first part of the chapter on Mexico's fight for independence from Spain so this is an introductory type of overview to the increasing tensions in North America and issues with borders between Spanish Texas and America. This would be great for a sub and the answers are included where appropriate.
