This packet is designed specifically for middle- and high-schoolers in the Spanish levels 1 and 2.Many of the activities can easily be adapted to meet the needs of other students as well.
There is no specific grammar, and very little vocabulary, that is being taught with these activities. They are to be used in conjunction with your regular instruction. Some of the activities have the students ask questions, write about themselves, or write stories. It would be helpful for the students if you would remind them of the things they have been learning recently, and show them how it could be applied to these activities. For example, a Spanish 2 class that has recently learned the reflexive verbs could write their daily routine as part of the dating profile activity.
Each activity is divided into separate phases. Each phase could be done on the same day, or they can be done on a different day, depending on your needs and the levels of the students. Some of the activities require some preparation to be done by you before the next phase begins, such as collecting student work.
I hope you (and your students!) enjoy these activities I have put together. Please leave a rating, and let me know how it went, and if you have any suggestions for modifications, including tips. I love to hear how other teachers use my work, and how my work can be improved. Thank you!
