This kid-tested and approved resource is my students' new favorite game! By playing this game, my students learned how to ask and answer questions using "gustar" in Spanish! They have become more motivated than ever to share about their favorite things to do and, in turn, discover new things about their classmates.
Using the eight pairs of matching emoji strips, students will play to find the person who has the same set of emojis on their strip. This game can and should be played entirely in Spanish. The objective is to find the other student who has the exact match of verb emojis on their strip. Note: the emojis do not have to be in the same order to match.
If you have a class of 16 students, simply print out the two identical sheets, cut out the strips, and you're ready to rock and roll! If you have more than 16 students, print extra sheets accordingly and have students play to find their group of three or four. The first group to pair up without speaking English or looking at each other's slip wins the round. Students can then exchange slips and play a second and third time.
