Number puzzles are a quick, easy & fun
way to practice a variety of standards
I’ve included colorful
puzzles that count by 1s to 10, count backwards from 10 to 1
, as well as skip count by 2s, 3s, 5s
There is a complete set for each color
: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, black, white, brown, gray.
Children will be delighted to see "Lilly's Purple Purse", "Harold's Purple Crayon", "Pete's New White Shoes", and lots of "Brown Bear's" colorful friends.
Print, laminate & trim and use as an independent center activity
, where children can practice colors
, color word identification, sequencing, number recognition
and the various ways of counting
For an interesting “craftivity”
make an extra set, and have students glue their puzzle to a sheet of matching construction paper.
Remind them to leave a little bit of a gap between each numbered strip, to create an especially cool mosaic effect.
Completed projects make an awesome bulletin board
Special note: I purposely used the English version of the crayon, so that ESL students could also see the English color word as well.
