Spanish Vocabulary Activities - Mega Bundle

This mega bundle of Spanish vocabulary activities will help your students expand their Spanish vocabulary while strengthening their speaking, writing, and listening skills. Help your students move beyond rote memorization and use the target language meaningfully!

The bundle contains three different activities:

Spanish circumlocution card sets: These are a great addition to any vocabulary unit and will help get your students speaking in Spanish! Each set of cards comes with 81 separate vocabulary terms related to the topic! Students must use the strategy of circumlocution to get their partner to guess the term on the card. This is a great way to help your students realize they can speak in Spanish, even with a limited vocabulary! Each set comes in multiple formats and printing options, for maximum flexibility in your classroom!

"Ecuaciones con palabras" activities: This is an engaging, hands-on activity that will help your students practice Spanish vocabulary; develop their critical thinking skills; and increase their ability to circumlocute by encouraging them to think about the relationships between words!!! In each set, students receive forty-five words which they must arrange into ”equations” that logically describe the relationships between them. For example, they could write “fruta + amarillo = plátano”, because a banana is a yellow fruit. After students have created their equations, they write a sentence explaining why each one is valid. Along with the hands-on version of the activity, I've also included a no-prep variation for each set.

"Yo tengo... / ¿Quién tiene?" sets: “Yo tengo... / ¿Quién tiene?” is a great game to get your students speaking in Spanish while reinforcing thematic vocabulary! This activity works well as a bell ringer, but you can use it at any point during your lesson to keep your students engaged and working in the target language! Each set contains 28 cards with words that are thematically linked. As each student asks "¿Quién tiene...?", everyone must check to see if they have the corresponding card. If so, it is their turn to announce the word they have and ask the next question. If the class completes the activity correctly, you will loop through all 28 cards and end up back at the start.
