Ideas for using this Freebie:

I tell my students how important these question words are and that they will be using them extensively. They enjoy coloring the cards and writing the phrases on the back reinforces learning the vocabulary.
Have students work in pairs facing each other to play these simple, but fun games.

CARDKEEP GAME:
Each student has their own set of cards.
 Student A shows the front of one of the cards to Student B.
 Student B must use the word in one of the phrases we have learned. If they do it correctly, they get to keep Student A’s card in a pile to the side.
 Then, Student B holds a card up for Student A and Student A must use a phrase correctly, or Student B gets to keep his card.
 Continue until students run out of cards. Student with the most cards wins.
WORD WHACK:
 Students face each other and lay out 1 set of cards picture side up between them. Both students need to be able to reach all the cards.
 Teacher or designated student calls out a question word in English.
 The first student to “Whack” the word keeps it in his/her pile.
 Student with the most cards in their pile at the end of the round is the winner.
