- This is not your typical weather forecast presentation! Students are assigned a city that has a preset season, day, temperature, and weather phrase they must include in their weather forecast. The preassigned cities / information is then used to create a series of short answer questions students will answer about each city during the forecast presentations. Students will be more focused on the presentations and will actively listen while trying to answer the questions. The questions can even be calculated as a part of the forecast grade, or as a separate grade on their own. A great way to extend the activity beyond that of a typical weather forecast while strengthening students' listening skills.
- File can be edited to suit the needs of your classroom. The file includes 23 different cities with preassigned information, and 41 questions for the audience to answer while listening to the presentations. For more practice with weather vocabulary, check out my Weather Partner Speaking Activity.
