Ever wish you had a little extra boost to help spark your students' interest in class?
Use these large vocabulary words, in both Spanish and English, to incite classroom involvement and enrich vocabulary acquisition, too!
You can use these daily, weekly, bi-weekly, as a group, or single words, and encourage students to use them in class to receive some type of reward of your choice: candy, points, homework pass....whatever words for you in your classroom!
The possibilities are endless!
CONTENTS: 62 words each on half sheet of 8.5 x 11 piece of paper
TO USE: Print using normal printer settings. Cut in half. Choose a fun color of paper to make it match your room or bulletin board colors!
• Place one card on bulletin board every Monday. Go over the meaning and model sentence. Have students try and use the work throughout the week in natural conversation. When you hear it, reward them with a caramelo (candy)!
• This activity could also be used daily, bi-weekly, in larger groups or words rather than one that went with your unit or theme…the possibilities are endless!
• Other reward systems could be: groups work towards X many points to receive extra credit or free homework passes, marbles in a jar for classroom reward, period competitions (1st period vs. 2nd vs. 3rd, etc), or whatever works best for you and your students.
Vocabulary words include slang, holidays, food, onomatopoeias, and many more!
